What Frame Fits My Puzzle?

October 5, 20260 comments

You've placed the last piece and your puzzle deserves a spot on the wall. Finding the right frame is easy once you know two things: what type of puzzle you have and how many pieces it has.

First things first: our frames only fit Pintoo and PieceRelax puzzles

Our frames are made only for Pintoo and PieceRelax puzzles. Each one has its own dimensions and fitting mechanism, designed around plastic puzzle pieces. That means they won't fit a regular paper puzzle. The frames are 100% plastic too (no wood components), and you won't need a mat or a cover.

Step 1: Look at the puzzle type

Most of our puzzles belong to one of two families, and each family has its own frames.

Showpiece puzzles → Showpiece iFrames

Showpiece puzzles have white border pieces around the picture. They give the finished puzzle a clean, gallery look, like the mount in a traditional picture frame. Because of that border, a Showpiece puzzle needs a matching Showpiece frame.

To check, read the frame's product description. It will say something like "Showpiece iFrame for 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle". You can choose from two ranges:

  • Showpiece iFrames: Dark Brown, Cool Gray, Rosewood and Oak (the colour choice depends on the size)
  • Showpiece iFrame Pro: Chestnut, Zephyr and Mocha

PieceClicks puzzles → PieceClicks frames

PieceClicks puzzles work differently. The artwork fills the full border, right out to the edge, with no white margin. The pieces are also slightly larger (22 × 17 mm instead of 22 × 15 mm). Because the finished sizes are different, we designed PieceClicks frames specifically for them. Their product descriptions start with "PieceClicks Frame".

Good to know: PieceClicks puzzles come from PieceRelax, so a few PieceClicks frames are titled "for PieceRelax … Piece Puzzles". Just match the piece count. (Other PieceRelax puzzles, like the 500, 1000 and 1200 piece designs, use Showpiece iFrames.)

4000 115.0 × 73.0 cm Pro from $130.00
4800 115.0 × 86.3 cm Pro from $145.00

We also have Pro frames for larger panoramas, plus combo frames like the Zephyr Vertically Combined 2400pcs, which holds four 600 piece or two 1200 piece puzzles.

PieceClicks puzzles

Pieces Finished puzzle size Frame
504 47.7 × 31.9 cm Charcoal Brown, $49.00
756 47.7 × 47.7 cm Charcoal Brown, $55.00
1008 63.6 × 47.7 cm Oatmeal, Dark Maple or Charcoal Brown, $59.00
2016 95.5 × 63.6 cm Charcoal Brown, $89.00
4032 127.2 × 95.5 cm Zephyr Pro, $170.00 or Chestnut Pro, $180.00

Why type comes first: a Showpiece 1000 piece puzzle finishes at 58.8 × 37.8 cm, while a PieceClicks 1008 piece puzzle finishes at 63.6 × 47.7 cm. The piece counts are close, but the sizes aren't, so the frames aren't interchangeable.

What about other puzzles?

Our frames are made for Pintoo and PieceRelax puzzles from our range (Showpiece and PieceClicks). They won't fit regular paper puzzles. Have a different style of puzzle, or not sure? Ask us before you buy.

Your frame-finder checklist

  1. Check the type on the box or the product page: is it Showpiece or PieceClicks?
  2. Check the piece count or finished size (for example, 1000 pieces, 58.8 × 37.8 cm).
  3. Find the frame whose description names that type and size, such as "Showpiece iFrame for 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle" or a PieceClicks Frame for 1008 pieces.
  4. Pick your colour!

Shortcut: many puzzle pages on our website list "Available frames" with direct links. Dream of the Northern Lights (Showpiece, 1000 pieces) links to its Showpiece iFrames, and Aurora (PieceClicks, 1008 pieces) links to its Oatmeal, Dark Maple and Charcoal Brown PieceClicks frames.

Frequently asked questions

Will your frames fit a puzzle I bought somewhere else?

Only if it's a Pintoo or PieceRelax puzzle of the matching type and piece count. They won't fit regular paper puzzles or other brands.

Can I put a PieceClicks puzzle in a Showpiece frame, or the other way around?

No. The two types have different edges and finished sizes, so each needs its own frame.

My box says PieceRelax. Which frame do I need?

If it says PieceClicks, choose a PieceClicks frame. Other PieceRelax puzzles (such as the 500, 1000 and 1200 piece designs) use Showpiece iFrames. Check "Available frames" on the product page, or ask us.

Do I need glue, a mat or a cover?

No. Our plastic pieces interlock snugly, so you won't need glue, and the frames don't need a mat or cover (none are included). The puzzle isn't included with the frame either.
